Creating new buildings is what I think can be the best example of arrangement done by human hand. It requires careful planning, precision and putting countless bigger and smaller elements together. I’ve always admired the the evenly laid layers of red bricks that constituted the walls of old buildings. This is where craft becomes an art.
Nowadays the techniques and the way we build are a lot different. It doesn’t mean it deserves less admiration. On this picture the work in progress and the final result meet to create interesting composition.

not sure if this would be possible, but the picture’s composition could be better if you frame the cranes against the grey sky. so, imagine the crane filling the right of the picture, and the background building being on the lower left of the frame.

It is a good picture, but I do agree with Olivia. Having that red crane against that gray sky is more eye-catching. Well done.

There isn’t much I can do now. The new building is now higher than the cranes and the composition is lost forever 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!

Great interpretation. I like your write-up for the challenge. I plan to submit another photo this week of the buildings sitting on the riverfront downtown. I agree, some buildings are so crafted that they are art. I like the look of the building in your photograph. Thanks so much for mentioning me in your pingbacks. 🙂

Yes, I’ve seen your photo, really impressive, great job! I’m not a big fan of skyscrapers and such but I admire the people that design and build them. It requires a great knowledge.
Thanks for your comment!
