Some time ago I posted a photo of a Mandarine Duck taken in one of the parks in Warsaw. That species originates from Asia but the ducks have managed to establish a large colony in my city which is definitely European. A week ago in the same park we met another water bird that belongs to another continent.
All the way from North America: the Wood Duck (accompanied by the Mandarine male).
That more or less reflects how I recently feel.
Alastair: that’s a Jackdaw too 😉
I’m not a foodie and taking photos of my lunch is not what I usually do. So instead I decided to post someone else’s lunch.
Here’s female Red Crossbill picking seeds from spruce’s cone.
